- Electromech’s De-Icer systems are designed for use in areas using the 3rd rail to ensure that vehicles still obtain power from the third rail even in icy conditions
- The System delivers de-ice fluid at a proportional rate to the speed of the train,
- and stops delivering fluid when the vehicle is stationary
- Minimal maintenance is required for the system due to the various detection
- circuits which continuously monitor the condition of the motors and which
- give early indication of any future problems
The De-Icer System can be configured in many different ways incorporating various functions such as:
- Back-up system with automatic change over when a problem occurs
- Various Audible and Visual indicators to the driver
- Test functions
- Set speed cut out
- Motor Speed read out
- Flowrate meters
