- The Driver’s Reminder Appliance (DRA) is used to ensure that the driver has
- checked the state of the signal lights before leaving the station
- When the unit is primed, the driver cannot take power, as the Traction
- Interlock relay is energised
- The DRA unit can transmit various signals to the on-train data logger, and
- the results are downloaded for detailed analysis
- Electromech offers two alternative DRA units:
- Passive DRA – meets railway group standard GK/RT0091
- Active DRA – incorporates AWS interface, where the unit is activated after a cautionary aspect.
